Dr. Tanya Sanchez was born and raised in Great Bend, Kansas. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology at the University of Kansas before graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree.
In school, Dr. Sanchez found her passion for providing eye care for diverse and underserved populations. She participated in medical mission trips in South Texas and completed an externship rotation at the Veterans Affairs eye clinic in Wichita, KS.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Sanchez looks forward to spending time outside with her family and two dogs, her boxer/heeler mix Bruno and corgi Lily. She enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies, and cheering on the Jayhawks.
Dr. Sanchez looks forward to providing high quality eye care for patients of all ages with special interests in pediatric care, myopia control, and dry eye management. She is fluent in Spanish and committed to advocating for the ocular health of her diverse range of patients and their families.
