Mark L. Wellemeyer, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist with special training in cataract and implant surgery, and laser vision correction surgery including LASIK and PRK. Dr. Wellemeyer completed his medical education, internship, and residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He has authored numerous papers in the field of ophthalmology and refractive surgery. Dr. Wellemeyer has been on the leading edge of new lens implant technology and is the first surgeon in Central Kansas to implant both the Crystalens accommodating lens implant and the Verisyse phakic lens implant.
Dr. Wellemeyer has been a part of Grene Vision Group since 1993, and although he has retired from his cataract practice after almost 30 years, Dr. Wellemeyer continues to perform PRK and LASIK surgery in Wichita, KS at Grene Laser.
