Kathleen "Kate" Holthaus, OD, was born in Huntington, NY and raised in Omaha, NE. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Neuroscience at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and her Doctorate of Optometry at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry (NSUOCO). She graduated Summa Cum Laude from both universities and was awarded the Certificate of Clinical Excellence and the Award for Excellence in Ocular Surgery while attending NSUOCO.
Upon graduation, Dr. Holthaus practiced optometry in a private practice setting in Omaha, NE for four years prior to moving to Wichita. Outside of the office, Dr. Holthaus loves to spend time with her husband and fellow eye doctor, Dr. Jared Holthaus, and daughter. She loves to find new parts of Wichita to explore, from any restaurant to outdoor trail! She’s passionate about volunteering her eye care services both locally and internationally. Dr. Holthaus also enjoys running, cuddling her Bichon Frise, Milo, and cheering on the Nebraska Huskers and Creighton Bluejays.
Dr. Holthaus is happy to provide you with exceptional eye care! She truly has a passion for educating her patients and helping them achieve their best sight possible. She specializes in general and pediatric eye care, contact lens fitting, disease management, myopia control and emergency eye care. She provides routine eye care to her patients at the Seneca and Ridge Road Grene Vision Group locations in Wichita, KS.
