Christie L. Rose, OD, FAAO, is a family-practice optometrist and sees patients of all ages. As an optometrist, she values the importance of quality patient care above all else and prides herself in always going above and beyond in the pursuit of that goal. Dr. Rose is a Wichita native and received her bachelor's degree from Kansas State University, majoring in Microbiology. She attended Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry (NSUCO) in Tahlequah, OK, where she graduated magna cum laude. The following year, she did a post-graduate residency at NSUCO, specializing in corneal and contact lenses, and later received certification as Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO).
Dr. Rose is an adjunct professor at the Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry and has an externship site with MCPHS College of Optometry in Massachusetts. Additionally, Dr. Rose received several awards while in optometry school, including the NSUCO Clinical Excellence Award, The Pfeiffer Award for Excellence in Ocular Pathology Research, the Vistakon Award of Excellence in Contact Lens Patient Care, the Contact Lens Clinical Excellence Award, KSU Cancer Research Award, and the Bezan Outstanding Student Award.
Outside of work, Dr. Rose loves to travel and go to all of her daughters' sporting events, activities and plays. Her greatest joy is watching them blossom academically, athletically, and artistically. Dr. Rose provides care to her patients at the Maize Road and Ridge Road locations in Wichita, KS.
